Daniel Ray Jaco, 49, Tragically Killed in Clinton, Kentucky Shooting

CLINTON, Ky. — The Graves County community is mourning the loss of Daniel Ray Jaco, 49, who was tragically killed on the morning of February 6, 2026, in Clinton. His sudden death has left family, friends, and neighbors in shock.

Authorities reported that sheriff’s deputies and the Kentucky State Police responded around 8:15 a.m. to a shooting on the 600 block of Kingston Road near Pea Ridge Road. Daniel was found deceased at the scene from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate efforts by law enforcement and emergency personnel, his injuries were fatal.

Investigators from the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police, and the Graves County Coroner’s Office worked throughout the day collecting evidence and conducting interviews. Officials confirmed that the suspect has been identified and that there is no ongoing threat to the public. Evidence gathered will be presented to a Graves County Grand Jury on February 10, 2026, and an autopsy is scheduled for February 7 in Louisville.
