Seth Rich, DNC Staffer, Fatally Shot in Washington, D.C.; Case Remains Unsolved
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Seth Rich, 27, a staffer for the Democratic National Committee (DNC), was fatally shot in the early hours of July 10, 2016, in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of Washington, D.C. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, Rich was shot twice in the back around 4:20 a.m. in what investigators believe was a botched robbery.
Although signs of a struggle were found at the scene, none of Rich’s belongings were taken. Despite ongoing investigation, the case remains unsolved, leaving friends, family, and the community seeking answers.
Authorities continue to urge anyone with information to come forward.
