Fresno Mourns the Tragic Loss of 16-Year-Old Maxwell Thompson
FRESNO, Calif. — With profound sadness, the Fresno community mourns the untimely passing of Maxwell Thompson, a 16-year-old student at Justin Garza High School, whose life was tragically cut short.
Maxwell was fatally struck by a vehicle on Thursday morning along Highway 99 near Herndon Avenue. California Highway Patrol officers responded just before 9:00 a.m., and authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
Described by friends, classmates, and teachers as kind, bright, and full of potential, Maxwell stood at the threshold of life with dreams, friendships, and experiences yet to be realized.
